Transportation to and from Graz Airport

Car

The distance between Graz Airport and the city centre is 10 kilometres / 6.2 miles, you can cover the distance by car in around 20 minutes. 
The price for a taxi is app. € 25.-

Public transport

Bus and S-Bahn to Graz
You can use both bus and S-Bahn to get to the centre of Graz. Buses 630 and 631 run between the airport and Jakominiplatz, an important interchange for public transport in Graz. The last bus from the airport leaves every day of the week at 23:45 hours. S-Bahn S5 runs from the airport’s station (Flughafen Graz-Feldkirchen Bahnhof) to the central station Graz Hauptbahnhof, the railway station at Graz Airport is located 300 metres from the terminal. A bus journey takes 20 to 25 minutes, travel time by S-Bahn is only 12 minutes. Tickets for both travel options are inexpensive, the price is € 2.50 for a single ticket (Tarifzone 101). You can also buy a ticket valid for 24 hours, the price is € 5.50 (Tarifzone 101). Vienna to Graz by train

The fastest services from Vienna to Graz take 2h 28m on the fastest services. Departing from Wien (Vienna) Hbf station, you’ll travel 146km direct to Graz, arriving into the city’s main station, Graz Hbf.

The Vienna-Graz route is served by Railjet trains, the flagship high-speed trains in ÖBB’s fleet. Railjet trains are quiet, comfortable and fast. Choose from Economy Class, Business Class or First Class – all classes have air-conditioning and at-seat sockets. Trains are equipped with restaurant carriages, and if you have Business or First Class ticket, the meal will be served to you in your seat.

There are two different fares for this route, each offering differing levels of flexibility. Sparschiene tickets are the cheapest, but are only valid on the exact train listed on your booking. Standard-Ticket fares allow for travel on any train on the day or the following day, but can be up to twice as expensive as the Sparschiene fares.
